Privacy Policy

This policy covers both the MultiWave Android app and this website, multiwave.net. In short: MultiWave doesn't collect personal data from the app itself, doesn't show ads, doesn't use analytics or tracking, and doesn't require an account. The only place we do collect a little information is if you choose to leave a comment on this website.

The MultiWave app

MultiWave streams live radio and TV, plays YouTube, and plays audio files already stored on your device. To do that, it uses two permissions:

• Internet access — to stream the radio stations, TV channels, and YouTube content you choose to play. Note that when you use the YouTube tab, you're interacting directly with YouTube/Google, and Google's own privacy policy applies to that traffic.
• Local storage / media access — to list and play audio files already saved on your device. These files are never uploaded anywhere; the app only reads them to play them back.

Any radio stations, TV channels, or favorites you add or edit are stored locally on your device. We don't have accounts, don't run analytics or crash reporting, don't show ads, and don't request your location.

This website

Download counter. When you download the app from multiwave.net, we increment a simple counter so we can see how many downloads there have been. This is an aggregate number only — it isn't tied to your identity, device, or IP address.

Comments. If you submit a comment through the form on this site, we collect the comment text and the name you optionally provide. We review comments before they're shown publicly; unapproved comments aren't displayed. We don't collect your email address or any other personal detail through this form. If you'd like a comment you submitted removed, contact us using the details below.

This site is hosted on Amazon Web Services (CloudFront and S3). We don't operate our own server access logs, though our hosting provider may transiently process basic technical request data (such as your IP address) as a normal part of delivering the page — this isn't stored or logged by us.

Third parties

The app and this site connect to services we don't operate: the individual radio stations and TV channels you tune into, YouTube/Google, and (for the comments feature) Google Sheets and Google Apps Script, which store submitted comments until they're reviewed. Each of these has its own privacy practices, separate from ours.

Children's privacy

MultiWave isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age, beyond what's described above.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the app or site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
